Our story
Once upon a time a girl named Emily worked at a photography studio (think picture people) in high school circa 2008. She had grown up with a camera in her hand and figured it would be an easy job to make extra cash. Fast forward 15 years and she is still spending time in photography studios but has combined her love of family, her degree in journalism, and her passion for capturing moments into Tilden Creative. It is a photojournalistic approach to photography and the heart is to capture your moments in a way that feel fresh in your mind and endearing in your soul.
About Emily
Hailing from the East Coast beaches of North Carolina, she currently calls the quaint town of Franklin, TN home with her son, Coast. When she isn’t taking photos she is spending as much time as she can loving on her little one, drinking or making coffee (usually vanilla lattes), and dreaming about the million ideas her brain never fails to throw her way.
As far as her credentials for photography go she has worked doing weddings, product photography, tour photography, street photography, real estate photography, and of course, family photography. Her approach stems from cherishing old film photos she has that her family took growing up, and wanting to capture those still sacred ordinary moments for people, today.
